Take a look at our open roles below and if something interests you WE’d love to know!

KeyHolder Lead

  • Be a part of something sweet! As our Keyholder Lead, you are the operational heart of the store — the person our team depends on to open the doors, lead with energy, and make sure every customer leaves smiling. If you thrive in a customer-first environment, love taking ownership, and want to grow with a boutique brand rooted in community, we’d love to hear from you.

  • The Keyholder Lead is responsible for the full operational lifecycle of the store on every shift — opening and closing independently, verifying scale tare, managing the cash drawer and POS system, completing daily reconciliation, and maintaining the floor, bins, counter, and back of house to a consistently high standard.

When shared shifts occur, the Keyholder Lead supervises Sales Associates, serves as the on-floor point of contact in the Owners' absence, models the customer service standard, and supports the onboarding of new team members.

On the floor, the Keyholder Lead sets the tone for every customer visit — greeting guests warmly, making confident product recommendations across our product assortment, de-escalating difficult situations professionally, and extending genuine patience and warmth to all guests including children, families, and neurodivergent customers.

The Keyholder Lead also supports the company's mobile event services — assisting with logistics and inventory preparation. Participation for these events is on a voluntary basis for the Keyholder lead.

    • 2-3 years of experience in retail, food service, or a customer-facing role; 1-2 years of supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.

    • Proven comfort with cash handling and POS systems; a criminal background check is required prior to receiving store keys and alarm access.

    • Physically able to stand through a full shift and lift up to 30 lbs.

    • Reliable, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure — someone who shows up, follows through, and makes good decisions independently

    • Genuine enthusiasm for people, the product, and being part of a growing business

  • Trolley Car is a growing small business. At launch, you will be one of only a few people on staff — which means your impact is real and your voice matters from day one. You will work closely with the Owners, hold meaningful responsibility, and have the opportunity to grow with the business as we expand.

We carry a product that genuinely makes people happy while sweetening their day. We are community-focused, family-friendly, and passionate about what we do. If you are looking for a role where you can take ownership, lead a team, and be part of building something special — we’d love to meet you.

Sales Associate

  • Be a part of something sweet! As a Sales Associate, you are the face of our store — the first person most customers meet, and the reason they come back. Your energy, warmth, and product enthusiasm are as much a part of what we sell as the candy itself. If you love people, take pride in a well-run space, and want to be part of a brand rooted in joy and community, we’d love to meet you.

  • At the heart of this role is the customer experience. Sales Associates are expected to greet every guest, guide them through the pick-and-mix format, and offer knowledgeable recommendations across our product assortment.

Associates support opening and closing procedures as directed by the Keyholder Lead and handle sales transactions via the POS system.

Keeping the floor looking sharp is equally part of the job. Associates monitor bin levels, restock as needed, maintain the presentation of the store.

Associates assist with in-store promotions and provide accurate product information to guests.

    • Warm, outgoing, and genuinely comfortable with people of all ages and backgrounds — you make every guest feel welcome from the moment they walk in

    • Reliable and honest, with an attention to details that shows we care about doing the small things right.

    • Familiar with using point of sale (POS) systems and managing cash transactions.

    • Comfortable on your feet in a retail environment, able to lift up to 30 lbs, and eager to learn the tools and systems of the role quickly

    • Provides clear, accurate answers to customer inquiries about products, ingredients, and allergens

    • A team player with strong communication skills who thrives in a small operation where everyone's contribution counts

    • Proactively resolves customer requests, and supports their understanding of the processes for how to engage with our products.

    • Willing to support mobile events on a voluntary basis.

    • Willing to produce in-store promotional content for social media.

    • Knowledge of Square pos systems, social media, Affinity or Canva, or similar tools.

    • A creative flair and enthusiasm for visual merchandising or display

    • Cash management experience in a retail environment

  • At Trolley Car you’ll have the chance to contribute ideas, shape the in-store experience, and be part of a team that values creativity, and community.

This is a part-time role in a growing business. Hours will evolve as the business grows, and for the right person, so will the opportunity. If you’re excited about building memorable customer experiences and being part of something special — we’d love to meet you.
